Zhanel is an undergraduate third-year student at Dartmouth, majoring in Biomedical Engineering and minoring in Computer Science. Before the Haigis Lab, she worked as a research assistant at the Dartmouth Professor Lee's Lab helping with the development of more efficient human immunoprofiling methods. Later, Zhanel worked as a machine learning research assistant at Professor Preum's lab studying more efficient medical data annotation methods.

David was born in Utah but raised as a sunburnt Californian. He is currently pursuing his bachelor’s degree in Anthropology and the History of Science at Harvard College. As a research fellow, he assists in the sirtuin 3 and 4 projects alongside Erick Vazquez Cano.

Heidi is pursuing her BA in History and Science with a secondary in Global Health and Health Policy from Harvard College. As a research assistant, one of her primary roles is to assist Conghui Yao with her project on T-Cell Metabolism and Cancer Metabolism.

I am an Undergraduate student currently working under the mentorship of Graduate student, Karina Gonzalez, on her research. My main responsibilities include, but are not limited to, managing Karina’s mouse colonies, assisting with some experiments, documentation, and maintaining a clean work station in the common area of the lab. I am interested in learning about the role that mitochondrial sirtuins play in tumorigenesis as well.
